They will press for an attack and when their opponents confront them, they will flee. Their opponent will grow tired of chasing eventually and turned back. By this time they will turn back and pursue the pursuers.
When the pursuers turned back they will flee again. This went on until the pursuers worn down out of exhaustion.
The Mongolian Hordes hardly use direct confrontation. It was a cat and mouse game.
The term I use is "Snap Vanish" as in quick disappearance. Snap Vanish is essential to create an illusion of weakness. If you are too persistent, the prey will fight back, especially if cornered.

In the context of communication, I don't create the silent gap for gestation period. It is a bad strategy to drive a certain message across.
I should be like the Mongolian Horde; attack, flee, attack, flee, attack. I miss the flee part LOL. Actually the strategy works with Els. I was quiet for a few months and when I contacted her back, she was very responsive.

Therefore my decision to lay low for a couple of weeks is a good one. Snap Vanish is an art. You must hold. To do that you need discipline.
That will give an illusion that I am elsewhere doing more important things.
